BPSC Normalization Issue: Controversy Sparks as Khan Sir Joins Protest, Calls Out Misleading Practices
There have been many complaints especially of the normalization process in competitive examinations that the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) is currently grappling with. Especially, the popular educator also known as Khan Sir has become an influential opponent of the process claiming that BPSC fakely misleads the candidates. This has led to the pertinent debate on School examination systems, that has focused on issues such as: Transparency and fairness. To comprehend the nature of the BPSC normalization issue it is necessary to look at the BPSC model and the normalizing procedure. This is a statistical technique carried out on performance of students who sat for the examination in different sitting in order to standardize scores according to the level of difficulty of the sitting.
